Diego Sosa is a multidisciplinary artist who works ceramics and drawings. He was born in Hammond Louisiana and grew up in Wisconsin. From an early age he began to draw and later on explored the worlds of photography, painting and finally ceramics. Currently his ambition and curiosity has led him to explore and understand the craft of pottery. His interest in the absurd has led him to make abstract work about his experiences.
Diego has shown work in a few galleries in Wisconsin. Of which he recently has shown work at the Portrait Society gallery in Milwaukee. Currently he is embarking on a 3 month residency at the Appleton Public Library.
As an artist, he explores ideas of abstraction based off of observation, absurdity, industrial aesthetic, and much more. Through his work he aims to achieve a deeper understanding of himself and the world around him.
